New Year Cycling Shoes

I bought this new Sidi shoe to replace the worn-out Sidi Wire Carbon Air Vernice.

Sidi single dial Sidi Techno-3 dial closure system, simple and stylish design mid-level Fast carbon road shoes.

Size 43, Made in Romania

The upper is made from Microtech Microfibre material

Sidi Fast cycling shoes

XPedo RC7  cleats installed.

The Fast uses a carbon/Nylon mix composite sole.

XPedo RC7 cleats, red meaning 9° of float.

LOOK compatible cleats have 3 different colours.

>    Black    =    0° float

>    Gray     =    4.5° float

>    Red      =    9°    floats

The shoes' linings are torn, the heel stabilizer plastic is cracked, and the right side collar is torn exposing the red inner layer.

Sidi cycling shoes spare parts.

I dissected the shoes and took out the spare parts comfort fit insole, Anti-slip rubber heels, Adjustable  Heel Retention Device, Techno 3 Push ratcheting dials, Soft Instep closure, and cleats.

I changed the chain from Shimano CN-HG73 (apparently a 9-speed chain), installed by LBS. 

No wonder the 10-speed KMC's  'missing link' didn't click well (tight).

The cassette is 10-speed.
