Cycling shoes carbon sole came off - detached

How to fix cycling shoes. White-white Sidi  wire Carbon Vernice Shoe Sole REPAIR

I was cycling around my neighborhood, just an easy 10 km. There is a short 2% incline. I cycled off the seat and tried to lift the pedal during an upstroke. Then, PRAP!, the sole just detaches from the upper body.

After using it for 7 years (almost 13K km), this is what happened to Sidi. The carbon sole detached from the upper body of the shoe. Record from Garmin Connet below. 👇
Nearly 13K kilometers

There are two rivets that secure the carbon sole. The front rivet underneath the red vent air intake corroded and snapped (see that at the red arrow) .👇
The back rivet (yellow arrow) ☝ is still intact, holding the sole from being completely detached.

DEVCON 2 Ton Epoxy-Clear High Strength Epoxy S-35, for metal, wood, concrete, glass, ceramics, and fiberglass.  Order from the Shoppe.
2 clear epoxy glues are mixed together in equal proportion.  The mixture is spread over the both carbon sole and the shoe's microfibre performa tech pro body. Metal mini C clamps and Nylon Cable ties are fixed to keep it bonded.
I left this setup for 24 hours for a complete cure.

an old pair of weathered cycling shoes. The heel stabilizer turns yellowish,  microfibre shoes have numerous cracks, and the inner lining is dirty and chafing.
After seven years and nearly 13 thousand km

The repair is complete, and I hope it gives me a few more years of joy.

The brand new Sidi Wire Carbon Vernice cycling shoes were bought in May 2016.
